Cook it up with Paa..

Hi!

He is my Paa. So, as you can see Paa is cooking for his daughter dearest.Well, lagta hai maine apni kuch zyada hi tareef kar di. Isn't it?

Well, I had one of the most cherished moments of my life.I am sure I would remeber this for years to come.

Actually, the whole incident went like this. Dad went to the temple at 7.30 a.m. sharp today after coming from his Table tennis matches.On the way, he saw a sabjiwali didi with nice 'chhotu aalu'. He had not eaten patatoes for past 4 years. He liked them as it was fresh. So, he asked her to pack a kg. I was called from upstairs while I was busy fiddling with ny laptop. He invited me for the evening dinner. I aws amazed. He said that today he would cook it up by himself for mom and me. As mom is on diet and avoid aalu, I was the obvious choice. I was quite apprehensive first. I prayed the entire day for my safety.

Finally, at 6.30 when amma and me were busy with shaadi preps, dad asked us to come down for dinner. My mom asked for HELP, to which he politely refused and threw her out of the kitchen. Poor she! She was allowed to observe the modus operandi, that's it.I helped him with the ingrediants.

The result turned out to be awesome. U have to believe this that we both finished 1 kg. of  "Aalu Methi". Trust me, on top of that I had soup cooked by him.It was the best I had till date.


Overall, a simple event cooked with loads of love and passion. My dad just cannot cease to amaze me everytime I come home. I am blessed.

RECIPE:

U NEED:
1 KG. BOILED PATATOES
1 TSP. CUMMINS SEEDS
1 TSP TUMERIC POWDER
2 TSP REDCHILLI POWDER
2 TBSP GARLIC PASTE
1 TSP DHANIA POWDER
2 FIST FULL OF METHI LEAVES
2 TBSP HOMEMADE BUTTER
SALT TO TASTE

PROCEDURE:

MAKE TADKA IN BUTTER OF ABOVE MASALAS. NOW PUT METHI LEAVES. COOK IT ON LOW FLAME FOR 5 MINS. NOW ADD BOILED AALU PIECES.

*GARNISH WITH CORIANDER LEAVES AND ADD LEMON JUICE IF NEEDED.
READY TO EAT WITH HOT PARANTHAS. VOILA!

The most imaginative Night I had till the date!

I am sure you are running your grey cells at >3*10^8 m/sec. Relax! Soham..Soham..Deep breathe in and breathe out..

Hey! It's just that we had gone out to watch the recent movie "Avtaar" at the BIG CINEMAS in Khandwa.
Well, it was the best show I've seen till date. We had Paa, Maa, Dilip Uncle ,Aarti Aunt,Shikha,Shubra,Vibhuti bhua n Ajit fufaji with us.

Vibhuti bhua n Ajit fufaji  have come from New York to spend some time with us.Shikhaji was getting bored.So, We decided to go 4 this movie.

Now movie is not an event where,you dress up and go. Right? But, my baby sis, Shubra was super-excited.SHE DOLLED HERSELF IN  PRETTY pink salwaar Kameez(She is five!) and matching pink jewellery, lips glossed with pink vaseline and pink sandals. She is a cliche girl,I guess!
Someone once said, "GIRLS WOULD BE GIRLS!".I agree with him.

So, finally I met my bhua after 8 yrs. yeah! She was the first person with whom I was really close to.
Even before saying maa and paa when I was a kid, I said "Abhuu",  refering her. So, you can guess my closeness with her. Things change when ppl get married. They leave you. They have their own new life.Now, As she lives in the States, we talk twice a year.That's it. I used to feel bad before, that I lost my confidante. But, now I  have  learnt to get back out of the past and I try to live in present. Maybe, I am becoming mature!

Now, theMOVIE was fantabulous. I rate it 4/5. Amazing Imagination and wonderful display of creativity. I seriously, recommend you this movie. It's based on "GLOBAL WARMING' concept. I won't reveal you the entire story but lemme share the amazing part that I really liked in the movie.
When mother feels that the entire " Pandora" is under threat, she calls in for the Prayer meet under the tree where the inhabitants can find their connection with their ancestors. They pray the goddess "EVA" for the souls they lost in the battle with the research Army. Again, before killing any animal, they would pray and say that the animal didn't deserve to be killed. May his Soul rest in peace. THE SIMILAR IDEAOLOGY WE HAVE IN JAINISM. What I concluded was that how developed or progressive humans can, still, it's their faith that bind them. Isn't it?

This was my intrepretation, you could have another story to tell. ;).
Overall, I had invested the right bucks for the right movie. It maybe that some of you might not like it as u wud have seen Star Wars or other Sci-Fi movies with similar art- works. As, I am still exploring the new genre(for me), I m amazed. ;) .

I am gonna tell u more about the lunch party that we had for all my frends. My mom really gelled well with all my friends and we had our house on fire with our cray wit and humor.
